Mandeville House Assisted Living
Nurse-led. Family-run. A better alternative in long-term care.
Welcome
Built by a nurse. Run like family.
A family-owned assisted living community in Waldorf, Maryland. Opened in 2000 by Registered Nurse Mavis Payne, Mandeville House has delivered nurse-led, family-grade care to Charles County seniors for more than two decades.
Whether you're researching options for a parent, planning ahead, or comparing communities, we'd love to show you around. We're small enough that everyone knows your loved one by name โ and that includes the owner.
What We Offer
Care designed around daily life.
Nurse-Led Care
Our founder is a Registered Nurse and our delegating nurse. Clinical oversight is built into every shift โ not an add-on you have to ask for.
Personal Care
Bathing, dressing, grooming, medication management, and assistance with the activities of daily living โ delivered with dignity and patience.
Community & Activities
Home-style meals together, daily activities, outings, and a calendar built around what residents actually enjoy.
Need In-Home Care Instead?
Care that comes to you.
Not everyone wants to leave home. Our sister agency โ Agatha Home Health โ brings the same quality care we provide in our home, for those who prefer to stay in theirs.
Our sister agency provides skilled nursing and home health aide services across the region. Named after our founder's mother โ Beryl Agatha White โ who lived to 100 and inspired everything we do.
Why Families Choose Us
26 years. One owner. One mission.
Mavis Payne opened Mandeville House in 2000 โ and she's still the one running it today. Owner-operated means decisions happen quickly, problems get owned, and you always know who to call. As co-founder of the Coalition of Assisted Living Providers (CoALP), she helps shape the standards Maryland assisted living facilities follow.
Licensed by the Maryland Office of Health Care Quality (License #08AL0060-H, Registration #8390). Inspected. Accountable. Above all โ present.
