What families say
In their own words β from the families who trusted us with someone they love.
My family found itself in the almost inevitable position of needing to find an assisted living facility late in the summer of 2014 for Mom/Grandma. She was living in an independent senior apartment in the Waldorf area. Thankfully, she is the one that initiated the search when she started having falling issues. We found Mandeville House through the recommendation of a family friend. We had already looked at two facilities prior to this recommendation and passed on them because my mom wasn't comfortable with them. As soon as we visited and saw the room and met Mavis and her staff and her potential housemates, my mom made up her mind to live here. My mom, very sadly, passed away the following summer. She loved her room and the meals and the staff and recreational activities and especially Mavis. She didn't like the daily exercise, but that was my mom. We were made very welcome to visit, which all of our family did often. As my mom's health declined, we were very thankful that the facility was equipped to adapt and adjust its level of care as her independent abilities and mobility started to erode. I loved my mom so much. I miss her so much. Her last year was made better, and our family's anxiety level was made better, from the care she received from Mavis and her caring and experienced staff.

This place is immaculately clean and smells wonderful. Unlike any other nursing care center. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. My aunt was there for a little over a year. Every time I visited I was super impressed. Meals always looked delicious. My aunt was well cared for. The best of the best right here.

Mavis, you do so much for so many people in need. I salute you and your staff. You're a special blessing not just to your family, but to everyone who knows you. Thank you for allowing our family member to be part of your family and extending an βopen doorβ policy to his family.

This is a wonderful facility for a loved one you aren't able to care for at home any longer. Our aunt has been here a little over a year. She is happy and well cared for. This was the best decision we ever made for her well-being!

The staff of Mandeville House have been very kind to my family. Everyone there is very helpful, professional, and caring. The location is calming and beautiful. I can't say enough nice things about them. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe place for a loved one in need of care.

My aunt was living in a large assisted living facility with high turnover of staff and inconsistent levels of care. When I was searching for a facility that could meet her needs and was comfortable, I found Mandeville House. The facility is bright and cheerful in a quiet neighborhood. There is always something tasty cooking, and they had a room that was perfect for my aunt. During her time at Mandeville House there was very little staff disruption, and they took the time to get to know her quirks and her needs. Overall a very pleasant experience that only ended because of my aunt's passing.

It can be tough when deciding on a facility for a loved one. Mandeville House is the perfect solution. The staff is as close to family as it gets! They care and treat their residents like one of their own. The home is smaller and more intimate β it truly feels like a place to call home. They're on top of all the medications and ensure there's plenty of daily activities. Couldn't be happier!
